Frequently asked

Questions we hear most often

A starting point for partners, funders, and community members. If your question is not here, send us a note through the form above and we will route it to the right team.

How does Demo Nonprofit decide where to invest?
We start with community-led priorities, not predetermined themes. Our four pillars - Education and Opportunity, Health and Wellbeing, Economic Mobility, and Civic Strength - define where we work, but the specific investments emerge from listening to local partners.
Does Demo Nonprofit accept unsolicited proposals?
We do not currently accept open proposals. Our partnerships team identifies investments through field research, peer recommendations, and ongoing relationships with community-based organizations.
How is Demo Nonprofit funded?
We are supported by individual donors, family foundations, institutional funders, and a board-led endowment. All financials are audited annually and published in our impact report.
Are you a 501(c)(3) public charity?
Yes. Common Ground Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. EIN available on request.
Can I tour your office or attend a public event?
We host quarterly public convenings and publish event listings on our website. Office visits are by appointment only.
How can my organization apply for funding?
Funding decisions flow from our active program partnerships rather than open applications. The best first step is to introduce your work through our partners team at partners@commongroundfoundation.org.
